This is my first visit to the site. Upon review of press releases and comments, I experienced a bit of confusion, but eventually figured it out. I realize that each press release is unique, but the ones I reviewed all had the pre-conciliar commission/ town hall meeting as the theme. Just a suggestion - perhaps a blog thread could be established for a common theme rather than for individual press releases. This reply will be posted under this press release, and is the only one to date; but it is not the only one response to the theme of pre-conciliar commission/town hall meeting.

I have a suggestion (chancery staff forgive me, I know you all are working very hard and I do appreciate your labor), I sure could use a more regular stream of good news from around the OCA. I know missions are being established and the work of the Church continues even in the midst of the storm. We will get through the difficulties confronting us one way or another; but I sure could use some encouragement by hearing about how our fledgling communities are doing. For me, the primary reason we need to get our "collective" house in order, is so we can continue the work of mission/ evangelism. You can be sure that once we turn the corner of our present crisis I will be raising my voice in praise to God; proof that He has not abandoned us. But it is mission that will sustain through the difficulties we face as a Church in this post-modern society and culture in which we live. A Church reenergized by the Holy Spirit to fulfill its commission - this is the pressing need of our time. So, in short, I need more news about our missions. The photo submission for Pascha throughout the OCA is very good. Wow! All of our communities worshiping God in Spirit and in Truth - Christ is risen and death is no more! This is our only hope.
